MSNBC coverage of the protest in Monterey, California.
Louisiana:
Patriots for America provides great coverage of the yesterday’s rally in Lafayette, Louisiana
Excerpt:
A crowd of U.S. taxpayers, estimated at 400-500, gathered at Lafayette’s Memorial Park today to protest and show their disgust and anger at the astronomical amount of money being wasted by the U.S. government who has indicated that it will be the U.S. taxpayer to fund it all. Though the main theme of the protest was the extreme amount of ‘Pork’ being bought by the government and the subsequent increase in taxes, there were many other sentiments expressed against the current administration and the nations congressional and senate leaders for legislating and supporting the expensive bills.
It was a beautiful day and people were really enthusiastic that something, even though only symbolic, was being done.

Pennsylvania:
The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette posts this longer story after their short re-cap yesterday. It’s a good article.
Quote from the article:
Joan Martin of Middletown, who brandished a “When Will the Spending Madness End?” sign, said she’d never been to a political rally before. But she said she doesn’t like what’s happening in Washington, with billions of taxpayer dollars going to bail out foolish decisions by bankers and car makers. “I don’t want my children and grandchildren stuck paying off a federal debt that’s out of control,” she said.
Wisconsin:
The Green Bay Press Gazette headlines with Green Bay tea party rallies against federal programs: Mass of protesters marches to Kagen’s downtown office.
Quote from the article:
Tom Sieber, chair of the Democratic Party of Brown County, said the voters already have spoken and change is what they wanted. He also said several reports say Santelli’s effort for a grassroots tea party was a scripted set up, orchestrated by Republican leaders.
Pass the popcorn while we enjoy watching you grasp at straws. Pathetic.
Another quote from the article:
Mary Rehberg of Green Bay attended the rally because she said efforts to reach Congress about the public’s concerns have been unsuccessful. “Our Congress has been nonresponsive to the people. We’ve been issuing correspondence to the Congress running hundreds-to-one against the ways they’ve been spending and their socialist takeover and they’re nonresponsive,” she said. “This is the next step.”
