The richest 20% pay 69.3% of taxes. I’d say that’s more than a “fair share”
And remember corporations don’t pay taxes, they pass the cost of taxes to their customers who, ultimately, are you and me. Corporate taxes are just another tax that everyone has to pay.
Stop playing class envy, it is disgusting.
Cut taxes, cut government spending.
We need seperation of government and economics.
the real problem is that the rich and the corporations don’t pay their fair share of taxes. Despite the fact that corporate profits have gone through the roof in past years, they only pay about 7.5% of the total tax bill yet they use the products of our taxes like an educated workforce, military to protect their interests overseas, roads to transport thier goods, etc.
We have flattened the taxes to the point that the poor and working people pay the bills for the rich — including the bailout package.
Ha! I guess the “rock star” all of you voted for isn’t doing what you (who voted for him) expected. I can only sit back and chuckle………I don’t believe any politician tells the truth when campaigning. Why did you? Now, you can all pay your taxes and rally all you want to, but it isn’t going to change anything. He’s in the house for 4 more years. Hope things will get better for all of us, but I’m not holding my breath!
