When people think of CNN’s tea party coverage, they usually think of Susan Roesgen’s unprofessional and revealing outburst in Chicago. But don’t forget Anderson Cooper.
We’re featuring a front-page poll (look to the right of that screen) on what you thought about CNN’s Tea Party coverage. Make sure to take a minute to weigh in.
Here are some comments we’ve gotten about CNN. What do you think? Take the poll and if you have ideas about what to do, please leave a comment!
Someone suggested coming up with a list of CNN’s advertisers. From there, we can figure out which of CNN’s advertising sponsors either get or are trying to get federal bailout dollars.
I like the idea of tea bagging CNN. The arrogance of the elitist left needs to be exposed. Somebody pick a date and lets flood their PO Box with a few hundred thousand letters from the “Tea Party” crowd.
For those of you that want to send a message to sponsors of CNN I would ask that we start with Lexmark. I have no problem with them and have been happy with there products that I own.
However, we must start with a sponsor. Since they made no public statement disassociating from the coverage why not them. Considering I use their products I felt it best to call them out. What good is it to call too task someone you are not happy with? Why not someone you support when they don’t support us?
Remember folks, this coverage by CNN was totally biased. There was no attempt to try and hide it. That is how confident they are right now. They are an extension of the political tools we protested. The main streams think they have a free pass to promote a political agenda which includes dismissing our efforts as a bunch of dimwits with signs.
CNN, MSNBC and others covered the tea party events in their typically biased fashion. I for one intend to pay attention to who their sponsors are and make my voice heard with my wallet.
I read many of the posts on this subject and there are a lot of great ideas. I thought that the idea of a boycott was great. So much so I found a sponsor of CNN. It is Lexmark. I have no problem with this Company at all with the exception that they sponsor CNN, which is enough for me. I sent them the following E-mail last night.
Whoa dudes, did a light bulb just come on. We have here a great deal of power here. CNN has sponsors. Pressure can be applied by threatening the CNN pocket book through sponsors. I for one do not intend to put up with being denegrated so crudely as CNN has done And I intend to do something about it. Anyone else on board? this is how movements really get started. The almighty dollar roars the loudest. Take back America by putting pressure on the propaganda wing of the left. What the hay
Jeneane Garofalo? forget her. She just makes me miss Sandra Bernhardt. I’m not sure how it works but I think these little ankle biters are just a kind of barometer. The more twisted and pissy they become, the better the normal people are doing. by the way, Has anyone suggested a total boycott of CNN by tea party America? I am for it. I won’t be missing anything since I don’t watch them anyway. Let’s do it, I mean show OUR teeth
WHAT I CAN SAY IS THIS, I HAD NEVER EVER WITNESSED A REPORTER AS DISGUSTING, DISGRACEFUL AND ABSOLUTELY RUDE AS THIS WOMAN. THIS WAS NOT NEWS COVERAGE…THIS WAS AN ATTACK ON A PERSON WHO WAS PEACEFULLY AND POLITELY EXPRESSING HIS RIGHTS AS AN AMERICAN CITIZEN. CNN IS THIS u n b i a s … REPORTING ??? TAKE SOME TIME OUT TO REVIEW THIS INCIDENT ON YOUR TAPE. AND, YOU BE THE JUDGE. WHAT SAY YOU ???
On April 15th I watched CNN and MSNBC just to see what they were saying about the Tea Parties and I found little or nothing. CNN went so far as to insult a couple of people…”
I’m not sure who is worse…the unknown nobody female reporter here or the well know reporter named Anderson Cooper….
CNN host vulgarly mocks ‘TEA party’ attendants
On Tuesday night, CNN host Anderson Cooper referenced a vulgar slang term used in the homosexual community to ridicule Republicans involved in the “TEA Party” rallies.
During his AC 360 program, Anderson Cooper made the vulgar remark after CNN senior political analyst David Gergen spoke of the Republican Party being “in disarray.”
Gergen: “Republicans have got a way — they still haven’t found their voice, Anderson. They’re still — this happens to a minority party after it’s lost a couple of bad elections, but they’re searching for their voice.”
Cooper: “It’s hard to talk when you’re tea-bagging.”
I don’t watch CNN, but everyone out there should stop watching that station they call a news network. We showed them our strength on April 15, now show them our strength by turning them off!
I was shocked to see Susan Rosegen lose her grip on reality during her attempted interview with a male attendee and his 2 year old at a tea party. I live in the New Orleans area and remember her when she was a newscaster with a local station. I was thoroughly embarrassed with the interview that she interrupted because she did not want to hear what the man had to say. It was one of the worst episodes of “reporting” complete with a heavy dose of her own bias thrown in. The inaccuracies and slant from Susan were unprofessional and derelict and only showed us why CNN is at the bottom of the ratings.
thought I would share this news article with you. Perhaps we are getting somewhere with this?

We should also write the show “24″ and tell them to fire Jeaneane Garafalo as another person commenting mentioned. If several tens of thousands wrote and got her fired, that would send a message the would rock the whole media world.
Let’s make that a priority !!
The Media Relations email address for Lexmark is nfraley@lexmark.com . If you wish to contact them about advertising on CNN that should be a good address.Hopefully at least 100,000 will email them and tell them to advise CNN to stop mocking conservative patriotic Americans.
MS-NBC doesn’t have a media email link listed. You can either send a letter to:
NBC News
30 Rockefeller Plaza
New York, N.Y. 10112
or email their business development team at:
bizdev@msnbc.com&subject=Business Development
You don’t have a clue do you?,or maybe you are from CNN . What you want is giving up our freedoms to get a good education, to be able to earn 250k a year? I know a person in that bracket, He puts in 80 hrs a week, no vacation, works weekends most of the time, has 2 small children and works to better thier lives. He already pays more tax’s than those in the 40k range.shoud he pay more?, because those of you want to work less, or not work at all! You should direct your comments to those in DC who Cheat on their tax’s and steal from the tax payer., and spend our tax dolloars like water. I do not belive in taking from working people to support those who make a living off the system because they don’t want to work! I think you should should check out Cuba as a place you can move to. Sounds like they can offer you everthing you want.
Here’s a thought. After being called a racist redneck with no brain by that sick liberal Jeaneane Garafalo we should hammer Fox about getting her fired from the 24 show she’s in. And to boot nobody gets it! I believe Congress is never going to do the will of “We The People” and 1 good dictator would be a vast improvement over our spend happy fools in Washington. It’s obvious they have no clue what it’s like to live paycheck to paycheck and do without if it breaks the budget. I can’t ever remember any politician pushing for doing the will of the masses and they also should be limited to 2 terms in office. Forget this 40+ years garbage. All that does is make connections with people with money who have a zero interest in 98.3% of the population. Obama said 70% of American households live on $40K or less. He also stated that only 1.3% of the pop. makes over $250K/yr. To me that says capitalism is a massive failure and if going to a Socialist Govt. will distribute the wealth and take care of ALL the people I’m 100% for it. Why do people get so upset over Socialism? The answer has to be they are making money hand over fist and sure as hell won’t help the country or their fellow country men/women. The weathy elites have been VERY quiet since they stole much of our $401K and pension money. We are suffering because of rich people and they OWE us big. I haven’t heard any of them offering up a billion or 2 towards saving our economy even though they all made out like bandits during the last year especially. I see no reason why wealthy people should have a liscense to steal from the masses and they will bleed us dry if nobody wakes up and demands they pay back all the money they made off of all their sleezy scams. They don’t even want to pay an extra 3% in taxes next year! That’s a drop in the bucket to the elites. I’m done. What say any of you? Are you up for another revelution like our colonial brothers and sisters? Do we need a Govt. as corrupt and greedy as this one? I say hell no! I’d rather go out fighting for a worthy cause than die a poor slave to wealthy people. The next thing they’ll do is steal Social Security money from us saying they don’ thave it. But they refuse to stop 2 wars and funneling money to country’s for aid. What about OUR aid? I haven’t heard anything about getting a stimulus check. I am unemployed with no income. Does anyone know how that’s supposed to work? Thanks all.
Amen Linda Hand. I couldnt have said It better then you did. Lets hope the main stream media dries up and blows away. Ditto Ditto
It is indeed a proud day when you get the liberally-biased news networks calling you names!!
I think the media is playing a huge roll in the destruction of this nation. They have abandoned true journalism ages ago. Where are the days of reporting both sides of the story, so Americans can make an informed decision in elections etc. It’s really sad.
Are they planning any more tea parties for July 4th.? Freedom from runaway spending, and non representation in Washington would be good topics. They have to hear what WE THE PEOPLE want. Bravo to Fox News for keeping everyone informed. Thanks to Rush and Sean, and Mark.
Lets hit the CNN purse and its owners - who owns and runs CNN? Let’s stop purchasing their products and break them to where they need a bailout too!
The Tea Parties were a great success and now it’s up to everyone to keep the momentum going! Be sure to make a point of getting two or three of your friends involved with the next tea party. As for boycotting CNN, MSNBC and all the rest of the leftist crap houses out there….I say its Rosa Parks time…. lets do it!!!
I expected as much from the Communist News Network. These days only Fox News has the backbone to report mostly unbiased news. The protest appeared to elicit the same reaction as opponents to the “global warming” issue. If you don’t buy into their rhetoric, you need to be ostracized.
I believe putting pressure on their sponsors is an excellent idea.

Here is a site for a list of sponsers for CNN & NBC.
I have already begun to email CNN’s sponsers notifying them that I will no longer be purchasing any of their products if they continue to advertise on this network…the ones I can’t email will be getting a letter. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH
I just sent my letter to Lexmark informing them that I will no longer be supporting their company because of their support for CNN.
Here is the address:
Lexmark International, Inc.
740 W. New Circle Road
Lexington, Kentucky 40550
Tel: +1-859-232-2000
Other sponsors/advertisers: The Scooter Store 1-800-387-2142, Binder Law Firm 1-800-662-4633, Bosley Hair Restoration, 1-800-551-3223, The Salvation Army email NHQ_Webmaster@usnsalvationarmy.com, Transitions Lenses 1-800-533-2081, and TaxMasters, Penny Talk, Ancestry.com, and Meineke mufflers. My dialup is running so slow right now that I can’t look up the others.
I don’t watch CNN (never have) so I don’t know who advertises there. If someone produces a list of advertisers, I will never buy their products.
Speaking of boycotts, then everyone should boycott going to the STATE of NEVADA…..seriously…..until that state elects someone other than Harry Reid. Until he is out of office in the United States Senate, I will not travel to that state.
“JUST SAY ” NO” to NEVADA” !!!
I think that the thousands of teaparty-attendees who showed up in Atlanta, and the ones who showed up in N.Y. ought to march in front of CNN’s headquarters at least once a month, to complain about their biased “coverage”. I’m all for boycotting CNN’s sponsors, but I saw Progressive Insurance sponsoring Fox News, and I KNOW THAT company is VERY liberal-minded! I suppose they want to appear neutral and don’t care if they receive “right-wing” money as well, but they don’t receive mine!
I don’t understand how Lou Dobbs remains at CNN. I have listened to him for a long time, and he is definitely NOT liberal.
After attending the D.C. tea party, and also attending an illegal immigration rally over a year ago in Atlanta, I am just itching to attend more! I just love exposing left-wing-biased reporting, and our “representatives” who only represent those who line their pockets.
I, for one, do not think Repugnants can ever be trusted again, because they are STILL ignoring us, and they have ignored for for way too long! I am NOT a Libertarian, but I am certainly a conservative populist, and a former Republican! I say NOMOREPARTYANIMALS! There’s just too much manure to shovel out of my livingroom!
As far as I know, NBS is backed by GE. who by the way, is Quite frendly with the Obama Adm. I for one will boycott anything to do with GE .
How can we get sponsors such as staples and other previous supporters of CNN to support a cause worthwhile like ours?
I and hopefully along with these hundreds of thousands of people WILL NOT BUY from these companies. Not only that but spread the word to people that is not necessarily in the light when it comes to these matters.
I could not find an email address for Lexmark (I own one of their products). The Phone # fot their US and intenational headquarters in Lexington, Ky is 1-859-232-2000. I just called them and lodged a complaint about CNN.
Little Calvin says it best, Piss on CNN
The “reporter” (?) was not only rude…. she revealed CNN “naked” under belly of bias. Loved the lady who brought her to task. You ROCK!!! Lady!!!!!
This reporter was rude and unprofessional to the man she was speaking to. I was at the Belmar New Jersey ralley out in the rain and wind to lend miy support.
This woman and I use the term loosley was a pit bull attacking the protesters and instead of being neutral and a sounding board as a reporter should be was bias and nasty. She should be fired
Anderson Cooper would certainly know a lot about “teabagging”. Perhaps he should teach the technique to his “girlfriend”, the Pelosi clone botoxed ‘ho Roesgen.
Oh, she already knows.
I totally agree, we need to send strong messages to the sponsors of all these biased reporters, letting them know we will not continue to purchase their products as long as they support these biased “news” organizations.
I guess Cooper would know that it’s difficult to talk when you are tea bagging? That was his own comment. I had never heard of this before he brought it up. They call this news? Garafulo has no intelligence, no common sense, no decency and wants to divide even more. I am hispanic and to me it doesn’t matter if the person at the White House, is brown, black, white, yellow, as long as he/she takes care of America and its people. I guess I am a racist against my own race as well since I think Hugo Chavez is the most uneducated, no class, power hungry, and ugliest man alive. He brags about Venezuela is the most powerful latin country in the wordl, but he can’t stand that America is a super power, more like a jealous little kid that wants to bring everyone to his level.
THE CLINTON NEWS NETWORK or CNN Posted by ROB ROY SELF on April 21, 2009 at 6:28am

My new bud Robin posted on slander and felonies we should boycott the sponsers. She is so dead on. We need to find out who the sponsers were on April 15th on cnn on the commercial break’s before and after when that TWIT susan roesgen was spewing her uninformed, incompetent, hate, at us. CNN could care less if we boycott them or not but the people that pay the bill’s sure will. So let the word go forth and let’s find out who they are and send them a few hundred thousand tea bag’s and never buy another product from them until we get a public apology in prime time from susan. P.S. WE’LL NEED ADDRESS’S TOO.
I think Shep on Fox News said it best when he referred to CNN as being something we used to watch in the old days! Amen!
I have contacted numerous advertisers on CNN. Some have not responded yet, some have but with the typical “we received your letter” response. On the other hand Staples replied in such a fashion that I believe they are strongly considering dropping CNN entirely from their advertising venue. This goes for CNN, CNN Headline News and CNN.com.
By the way folks, you who are reading this, have you noticed how many advertisers are actually on CNN now? Flip the channel from Fox over to CNN for a while and see what I mean. They must have lost all the high paying advertisers in the past few days. Flip channel back to Fox. Lots and lots of advertisers. Is it me only that notices this? Or is this boycott idea something that many other Americans intrinisically felt it upon themselves to do what I was doing as well? To my knowledge there is no formal group boycotting yet but I believe there is a drop of advertisers of CNN. Soon maybe all that will be left are the typical questionable pharmaceutical products, lewd or otherwise.
Let’s SINK CNN. Don’t let up on the pressure! Just sink them! No questions asked now. No shot across the bow, just sink them! They had days to retract themselves and they have not done so. Anderson Cooper, the son of Gloria Vanderbilt and ex-model, the darling of CNN is still alive and kicking as if his comments were socially acceptable! Sink CNN! Boycott any and all advertisers, but before you boycott them, send them a letter telling them “nothing against you, just fair warning, if you advertise with CNN you will be boycotted”. Watch! It WORKS!!!!!
I’m not surprized by what the left might lie about us. And, I’m not going to be disuaded by what they report. If we “tea-baggers” are serious about what we are ACCOMPLISHING, then let the lies fly off our backs, and not harm nor slow our march to “Pretoria”. It IS a good thing to call them out, by way of their sponsors, but we must be mindful that WE ARE RIGHT, and WE ARE MORE POWERFUL –unless we allow ourselves to be caught up in hurt feelings and offended distemper. They’re NOT going to change, so why should WE? Stay on target, –stay on target, –stay on TARGET!!!!
You mean CNN has advertisers??
I suggest boycotting CNN, NBC, and MSNBC as well. No one would miss anything since their news is so slanted. I for one have not watched these stations since the election after seeing how they were so pro-Obama. I think we
would do more harm by not watching these stations since their ratings are
already in the toilet. Maybe this would be just the thing to make them go away
permanently.
Maybe I’m a dinosaur, but I remember when the Christian Coalition tried to boycott the sponsors of a number of “sitcoms” on CBS, NBC and ABC during the late ’70s. Not only were they blown off, but television writers purposely became more and more vulgar during subsequent years in a purposeful effort to offend.
With regard to CNN and other blatantly biased news agencies, I think we can take another tack. As citizen journalists, why not dig up some dirt on the likes of Anderson Cooper and the little missy who thinks she’s Dan Rather with a bustline. Surely, there must be someone in our numbers who is either familiar with these people or who knows someone who is, and who can find just enough valid information that might prove to be embarassing to these tools if it were revealed. Remember, Dan Rather was outed for fabricating stories by members of the conservative blogging community and lost his job because of it - we can do the same with these clowns. Let them be on the defensive for a change, instead of private citizens like Joe the Plumber.
I thought it was interesting Fox News reported Susan Roesgen had applied for positions at Fox News twice and didn’t get either of the jobs.
[...] Read more via Tax Day Tea Party » What Tea Partiers are thinking about CNN. [...]
I think this web site should “post a link” to a CNN executive email address to voice our displeasure with their very “biased and bad” reporting of the Tea Parties.
Perhaps even pre-write an example of a brief paragraph for us with an idea or two of what to say……….?
Then send out emails to anyone who left their email on this site requesting any further updates or news…….
That would speed up the reaction process!
I think a boycott of CNN is due, but what about NBC (ie MSNBC)… Apparently their reporters made references to the sexually deragatory term many, many times, and apparently seemed to relish in trying ways to find to put it in any interview they did… Include NBC and MSNBC in this boycott… They are pretty much as bad as CNN. I guess these guys need to figure out that there are plenty of other news sources out there besides them. Gone are the days when they can twist the news and therefore the flow of our country. WE HAVE TAKEN OUR MEDIA BACK!
I have filed a complaint with the FCC (at FCC.gov) for the poronographic sexual rants of several so called journalists on CNN.
I have aso boycotted NBC, CBS, ABC, and CNN since their historic failure to vet an unknown candidate for president in the last election. I boycott not only their “news shows” but also all other broadcasts by these stations. (I’ve really enjoyed getting so much reading done).
I also boycott products from any advertisers of this media and have notified said advertisers of my actions via e-mail.
I agree with a Sponser boycott for CNN & MSNBC. The comments were vulgar & disgusting. Can anyone produce a list of these Sponsers ?
Why isn’t anyone complaining about MSNBC????? That Matthews, Olberman and Maddow are just as hateful and Maddow couldn’t let ‘teabagging’ go for 3 seconds all thru the show!!!! For heavens sake, they get ‘tingly feelings over Obama’ - God help us!
I say boycott both CHANNELS and then boycott their sponsors!
The more these channels lose viewers, the better it will be for the whole country. We must retain our voices and punish those that are no longer journalist. Don’t let what we started end.
(and I was a lifeline democrat- over 40 years - who will NEVER vote for them again - let alone watch their govt ‘owned’ stations again.)
That reporter was rude, rude, rude. Since the present administration won (by buying poor people’s votes with money from the mid-east) all Democrats have been rude. Listen to Pelosi. She is an embarrassment to the state of California. Harry Reid is rude. Barney Frank is rude. Geitner is rude and where did BO dig HIM up.
I never watch CNN but will start so I can write down the sponsors names and boycott their products and then write them and tell them why.
We have to fight with all we have. God is in control and He can fix things, but we have to hang together.
Why don’t we consider getting the U.S. Patriot Post to the airways? I don’t agree with the majority of CNN regurge and most MSM slant on anything they choose to air. By the time you get to hear any substantially valid point of view, they’ve already done almost irrepairable damage to the truth and relevent facts. But you know, somehow they continue to get the funds to air their content. Why don’t we just do the same thing? People vote with their choice of content by giving or spending discretionary income to supporters/advertisers of Leftist MSM … STOP BUYING TV PRODUCTS! … Seriously!! Continue to inform and promote why and what we believe are better choices. For one, I believe US Patriot Post and their network of colleages are a good start. I like what I am reading on this blog. PBS may be another good source but I’m not sure about content spin with them. Nevertheless, they are listener/viewer supported. I am dialing in on the following “Mark your calendar for April 23 at 8:00 p.m. EDT! We are holding an exciting one-time national event called Town Hall for Hope, and you’re invited! ” this coming Wednesday the 23rd with The Dave Ramsey Group. Perhaps some of you may let others in on the broadcast details. I’m not sure what to expect, what is there to be digested, but I’m hopeful that it will be better than the clip showed of CNN staffers making a nuisance of themselves for their own purpose. Do you think they reached their leftspin audience? I do, and though interesting, its irrelevent. Until the same, and greater, number of people who pay to watch current MSM, are overwhelmed by those of us making a better choice, and supporting it, expect more of the same backstabbing change as it went when congressional D-Day control and Barack Insane Obama joined to launch socialist islammunism to take over America. And hey, OB and company won’t mind one bit simply because it won’t matter. To paraphrase, ‘this crisis has just got to be milked!’ so sayeth Rahm E.
Secondly, under political affiliation you should have EX-PA as a choice. Ex-political affiliation! I’m no longer looking for politicians or PEE-CLUBS to support, and it is a waste of time to bother. I will be looking for alignment with any group believing in the sovereignty of the individual American citizen, Returning America to the Rule of Constitutional Law, and keeping Federalism out of State and Religious affairs.
By the way, I got a good laugh from that vulgar “talk while tea-bagging is difficult” remark by Cooper … obviously someone with intimate experience - AC/DC I wonder? (eclectic switching of current)
Alot of Great ideas, I’ve already written to CNN and let them know that they lost another viewer, however I too believe they need to be hit in their pocketbook and I will boycott every sponsor / advertiser that chooses to do business with CNN. A list of these advertisers needs to be posted in order to hit’em where it hurts.
It is clear that this so called reporter and others covering this event, who are like her, all attended the Joseph Goebbels School of Journalism. It is there that they learned to approach all stories with malice of forethought to ensure their subjectivity.
