What is the Tea Party’s Manifesto?
Excerpt:
A Tea Party Manifesto should have no more than ten items, and each one should be a clear, achievable goal. No fair putting in platitudes like “fix the financial system,” that’s too much like hopey-changitude, the point here is to be practical and specific. Some suggestions:
1. A moratorium on bailouts, whether for Wall Street bankers, General Motors, or the irresponsible guy down the street who “bought” too much house. “Failures must be allowed to fail.”
[...] got thinking about what a Tea Party Manifesto would look like. I searched around and found some talk that occurred a few months ago about this very subject. However, I found these to be a bit [...]
Here are six easy one.
1. SMALLER GOVERNMENT!
2. Right to bare arms.
3. Protect the innocent.
4. Less taxes or fair taxes.
5. TERM LIMITS
6. No Lobbyist
You must keep it simple. I know that the right to bare arms is in the constitution, but we have seen that it can be changed. I also said protect the innocent. Because it covers more than abortion. Like better law to keep people in jail.
Their Power is OUR MONEY

May I suggest a few:
1) We believe that government has a right only to an equal portion of every man’s wealth.
2) We believe that individuals, families and businesses, if given the oppertunity, can handle their money much better than government. Spending, saving and investing is all good for the economy.
3) We believe that government should address some of the real fiscal issues our country is facing, like reforming the social security system for future generations.
4) We believe in the founding principles upon which this country was based. The Founders understood the necessity of limited government, separation of powers and a rule of law.
Just a few ideas you may want to consider.
Glenn Beck is in effect doing the same things, he is aiming for 50 things, but we could pick and choose a couple off of there as well. http://www.the912project.com/ Go to 50 things poll.
The Dems have their MoveON.org - CONSERVATIVES could have their MoveHONOR.org - an HONORABLE and AMERICAN VALUES name that reflects what we inherited from our Founding Fathers! Timely-Targeted-Recognizable-Memorable-Honorable! Domain Name CURRENTLY FOR SALE ON EBAY - It’s TIME to MoveHONOR.org, NOT just to MoveON!
I think it is so sad that it has come this far, who would of know this could happen.
1. Fairtax for sure!
2. Term limits for members of Congress.
3. Senators should once again be elected by state legislatures, not popular vote. This would make them more representative of state interests and more willing to think long-term
4. Moratorium on Social Projects, such as Socialized healthcare.
Here are my greatest wishes (besides the obvious–repeal Obama’s “stimulus” and stop the bailouts):
1. Implement a fixed-pie budget system like the one found on ourcaucus.com
2. Implement a fair national sales tax like that at fairtax.org and ourcaucus.com
