Two Liberty tours you don’t want to miss

We’ve been telling you about the American Liberty Tour, but have yet to mention the Tea Party Express. In this post we’ll explore both.

American Liberty Tour
Earlier this year Ken Marrero and I started talking about getting out into the states and doing some face-to-face networking with Liberty loving Americans across the country. Back then our organization was called the DontGo Movement and there wasn’t much talk or thought given to the Tea Party concept (it didn’t really exist yet). The DontGo Movement had a very strong core group who worked hard to build online infrastructure that could provide rapid response to any online energy that came along.

While there is certainly much credit due to members of TCOT, Smart Girl Politics and about 850 local organizers (in fact MOST credit goes to the organizers), the DontGo Movement sent out about 40,000 emails with 24 hours of Rick Santelli’s rant… which played a key role in the quick jump in interest surrounding the idea of a mass tea party effort.

The Tea Party effort came along and sidelined a lot of the work we were doing within the DontGo Movement, but we knew full well we would eventually bring those conversations back to the table as soon as we were able to provide implementation.

This is when we decided that instead of doing 20 different events in 20 different cities that would all be planned individually, we would just wrap it in to one big drive and take care of the entire project in one swing. This final project became the American Liberty Tour.

The American Liberty Alliance teamed up with American Majority (the BEST organization out there for candidate/activist training), Americans for Limited Government, a small film production company and a great group of activists to create the crew that would cross the country.

The intention of the tour is simple. Rally Americans, provide candidate and activist training, provide networking opportunities for bloggers/eActivists, host townhall gatherings and help prepare the free-market movement for the battle ahead.

The American Liberty Tour will take our crew across 17 cities, with an entire day of activities planned at each stop. We’re also scheduling lunch stops in another 15 or so cities where folks can sit down with the tam for some open discussion and networking.

The tour begins on September 10th in Sacramento and ends on October 13th in Atlanta. You can catch the full tour with stops and details at AmericanLibertyTour.com.

Tea Party Express
If there is any group out there that has worked harder and done more good for the tea party effort than any other… it’s the Tea Party Patriots. The Tea Party Patriots have put in a staggering amount of work to create a central “hub” for anything end everything tea party related.

And fortunately for the movement, Tea Party Patriots have joined up with Our Country Deserves Better PAC for the Tea Party Express. As with the American Liberty Tour, the Tea Party Express will be a hard hitting, high energy opportunity for Americans from all walks of life to gather, rally and network for the cause of Liberty.

The tour schedule runs along the path of the districts/candidates that the PAC promotes and endorses, so the route takes the express across a huge portion of the country and provides for a lot of stops where folks can get involved.

While these two tours offer ample opportunity for us all to gather and rally for the freedom movement, it certainly needs to be said that we need to be doing a lot more of this as we go in to 2010.

There are currently a lot of groups out there working hard to bring the freedom movement together, and we strongly encourage you to join up anywhere and everywhere you can.

If we’re going to win in 2010, it’s going to be because we unified in a huge way. So… let’s unify for liberty!

I have to second Paulas post, I really appreciate all that these groups are doing in the name of Freedom! I am also thankful when I see the youth involved in this movement because they are such an important part of the future of our country. Thank You for keeping me updated on everything that’s going on. I have been to three teaparties and made many calls, faxes and emails to so called representitives. We can win this takeover of our liberty! Thank You Again for all you do!!

I am very proud of all that have organized and are doing a great job. If I can find any group near my home I will do all I can. Please keep sending me all the info. you have so at least I will know what is going on. I hope Sarah Palin will have a part sometime in the fight. She, in my opinion, will be one of the people that would help the growth of the America to come back to our founding fathers ideas. I am so afraid our moral fiber has degenerated to a point of no return. I am thankful for all young people who see the dangers in the gov’t we are now facing. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
