This post is really in place to clarify a statement I made last week. I have suggested on several occasions that we as a movement need to view this as a war, and I truly believe that to be the case.
As I’ve mentioned before, our government has looked the camera in the eye and openly declared war on our way of life.
“We’re going to force you to do this or that, we’re going to take this liberty and that freedom from you, we’re coming after your free speech, we’re watching your every move, etc”
We’ve all heard it. We’ve all seen it. Yet I got a few replies telling me I should be careful and try not to use the word war. Which seems a little bizzare to me considering the circumstances.
Let’s face the facts here, the thugs in Washington are waging a war against us. There is no way to sugar coat that. They wish to dramatically change this country and to do so requires that they strip us of our ability to be politically active and financially strong.
In war, you want to cut off communication, freeze all financial assets, and disrupt the political system. Doesn’t that sound eerily familiar?
It does. And it’s because our own government is waging war against us right here in our own back yards. They’ve set up a mechanism through which they can control the economy, they’re close to controlling all forms of communication, and they’ve completely gutted our political system by letting lawyers run Congress for far too long.
This machine doesn’t care about our protests. They don’t care if we march on Washington. They don’t care if we win a battle here and there. They don’t care how big our movement gets.
All they care about is full and total control over our lives. And they’ll do whatever is necessary to obtain it.
As an American, I recognize this as an act against my life and liberty. I recognize this as a declaration of war against me.

We ARE in a war. But we are not the revolutionaries as we are not the ones revolting. The liberal/marxists are the revolutionaries and have stated so for decades. How can I not consider the illegal president creating an illegal government outside the boundaries of the Constitution and working actively to destroy this land the revolutionary? I think maybe some people thought by using the word war where the country and their brother can see it, and possibly do something against you or to you.
I do agree we have to be careful concerning somethings, but we will figure that out as we go along with this undertaking.

I like what I am seeing in the responses. I agree that we need to start recalling the elected officials who don’t abide by their contituents wishes. They are causing great harm to the U.S. and either can’t see it or they are making more money being bought off by the special interest groups. They must not know the economic history of the U.S., or of the World, or they would not be going down this road - again. Like I said, they are either very stupid or being paid off for their misdirected loyalties. This is not the America I have ever known - unbelievable!

I hear the call, “DEFEND YOUR FREE NATION!” We did not ask for this, it was forced upon us and it is our solemn duty, our responsibility to fight back! My fear is that the urgency of their comprehensive plan has prepared for the elections of 2010. They aren’t worried about the election! IF WE WAIT UNTIL THEN, IT WILL BE TOO LATE! You are so correct. What is taking place in our government at this time is nothing short of war. War on the principles and beliefs I, at least, have held all my life. War on the country I grew up in. War on the Constitution. Which I view as an agreement under which I will allow myself to be governed by the powers that be. Am I to remain neutral at this time, I think not.

Eric, I have been saying this for years. It’s just that Obama being as far left as he has has put the drive towards a socialist government in overdrive. The liberals have been gradually changing society by taking away our rights, bit at a time. In a way what is happening this is a good thing in that it has woken up the country and has united Americans as one on the battle to take our country back.
We stand with you as we stand up for our constitutional rights. As for Washington my response to our fellow Americans is to scrutinize their elected officials and those considering running in 2010 and 2012. Who stands on principle first and party second? Those who vote strictly along party lines needs to be voted out. It is up to us via elections to look to legislative, public and person records to ensure that they match rhetoric. I truly hope this is a lesson for those Americans who never paid much attention in the past to realize that it takes attentiveness to what is going on and stay informed so they can make the proper choice at the polls! I wonder how many folks have regretted voting for Obama because of his very left liberal views and inexperience. He may be a nice person but his agenda has been well documented for years.
Washington may be ignoring us but we will have the last say at the polls. In the meantime, our unity as Americans and constant communication with Washington must not let up. We need to keep Washington on their toes with the threats of making a clean sweep next year and in 2012!
I agree totally with your emails regarding this being a war. And I might add, a war we did not start or provoke! I don’t know how the majority of Americans have lost their intestinal fortitude, but we need to regain it quickly and put it to use to abolish all the changes that have been forced upon us. A start will be to make Obama a lame duck president by voting out the democratic Congress in the 2010 electioins. We simply cannot let those elections pass without changing the majority in Congress and perhaps the Senate.
The next item will be to replace Obama in 2012 with someone who will revoke all the changes that have been made during the Obama years.

If we’re going to think and act like this is a war then we ought to start studying up on strategy and how to win. I recommend “The Art of War” by Sun Tzu.
We have to understand the five factors that influence the direction and eventual outcome. They are the Philosophy, the Ground, the Climate, the Leadership, and the Methods.

While Gary applies Sun Tzu’s principles of strategy to the War on Terror, we can and should apply these principles to the war for our freedom and liberty against the insidious growth of government spending, taxes and tyranny.
You are darn right it’s war. When our government no longer listens to us, when we they call us terrorists and extremists for protesting their actions, when they openly attack the Constitution and then declare war on the one news organization that tells the truth, then yes it is war.
I pray that this is stopped before it becomes a war with bloodshed, but no matter what direction this goes, I will be there ready to fight. Yes, I agree this is exactly what is happening. The only question I have is, what will it take for us to do what will ultimately have to be done to take our country back. It is time to quit pussyfooting around with protests, petitions etc. We have made our opinons and voices heard and they choose to ignore us. I am sure we have done everything humanly possible to peacefully stop this takeover. Right on Eric! In looking at the many responses, there seems to be a plethora of opinions. Let us not get caught up in the castigation of terms but rather the truth of what is afoot. We can all have varied opinions but we must stick together to win. Are we at war? Yes it is definitely a civil war (albeit not with bullets) for the future of our once great nation. As far as I am concern this is war. You are right on the mark. This is a government trying to take all our freedoms that the Founding Fathers set up for the American people. The next thing will be the Right to Bear Arms, right of free speech. The next step will be the internet to shut us down. I suggest we to not expend our assets on a national front. Rather, let’s pick out say 15 members from both houses, of the most damaging and organize recalls within their districts. Take the foundations out from under Congress (elections) and they will fall in line fast. Remember the old adage; “the tallest ones fall hardest”. Upon successful recalls, force the State Governors to replace them with our choices. If the Governor bulks, recall him or her. I think with threat of their demise, they will start to understand the term “By the People and For the People”. Our state directors can organize this plan in a very short time and with minimum assets expended from all of us…
We must demand Term Limits and NO Officers of the Courts (lawyers) to be ineligible for public office, just as the law states.

I completely agree. If you haven’t already, I recommend reading Liberal Fascism by Jonah Goldberg and Mark Steyn’s excellent book Libery or Tyrany. The Forgotten Man - A New History of the Great Depression - is also recommended by many…I have it but have not started it yet.

I think the war began at least 20 years ago, we just didn’t know it. The Progressives, known as liberals, convinced conservatives that we were alone by introducing multiculturalism, diversity, and revisionist history in our schools and in the media.
We thought it was a difference of opinion. Little by little, conservatives were told to shut up because they were in the minority…and we did. People of faith were told they were no longer main stream and to shut up…so we did. People who love this country were told they are rednecks, racist, and hate mongers.
We’ve been functioning as though our elected officials believed in the Constitution and were making decisions in the best interest of the country. Now we know most of them were not.
They pushed GATT and NAFTA and we wondered how this would help America. Some of us protested, but they passed it anyway.
They pushed changes in our school curriculum that painted America as evil. Some of us protested, but they changed it anyway.
They allowed soft porn to influence our culture by showing it on our TVs, in our magazines, on our internets, etc. Some of us protested and said this is not good, but they called us names and we shut up.
Now we have a radical Muslim President who is 100% committed to fundamentally changing this country. He has Czars, community organizers (ACORN), and unions (SEIU) to help bring this about. They are not elected by the people; they are not held accountable to anyone by the President; most are committed to Socialism, Marxism, and the destruction of Freedom.
This is war…it has been for at least 20 years (probably more). If we continue to shut up and sit down, we had better get used to the idea of living in a Socialist/Marxist country. I, for one, will no longer sit down and shut up! Give me Liberty or give me Death!
I believe we must start calling for State secession from the Union. The federal govenment totally ignores the law and Constitution, and expects us all to passively accept the most outrageous and fundamental violations of our God-given rights, including the right to have prayer and Bible reading in our local schools, or to display Manger scenes on the court house lawn, etc. It is perfect folly to suppose that the federal government, grown old in adulteries and lawlessness, can be reformed. Our only leverage is to threaten secession and be prepared to back it up. Anything less will accomplish little permanent change.
I have to say that this is WAR on us, we will carry it to their back yards. They think they have us on the run, but guess what we will not run, we will stand and fight. They think they will get our guns, that will never happen. I think it is coming and I think there will be a call to bear arms soon. We must face the fact that 52% of Americans voted for Obama. Why? This is a good question that needs answering. What percentage black voted for him solely because He is Black? What % Hispanic, White, Asian? And for what reason, because a majority of Americans now believe that Government is their G-d, and that they want to just sit back on their backsides and let government do everything for them? If so, this country is in real, real danger. For the saying goes that an uneducated populace, a LAZY populace, is the downfall of a country and what are we witnessing right now?
If you watch the “Man on the Street” Interviews and the average American is asked, “Who is the Vice President of the United States?….many of them do not know the answer. This is appalling.
This brings me to the point that we have to EDUCATE, and sadly but true, RE-EDUCATE THE PEOPLE.
Our young people are being/have been indoctrinated with cultural diversity/leftist ideology and now it’s getting even worse with the introduction of homosexual lifestyles, etc. We have to get to the young people in the public school systems and the H.S. students and colleges and universities with how and why this country came into being. Our American History is not being taught anymore. And if it is it is being “re-written” in such a way, slanted that we are the bad guys responsible for much of this country’s and the rest of the world’s ills.
We have NO TIME anymore to debate this issue. Time is of the essence. Time is running out. The hourglass is almost empty. Do you agree?
The thugs in Congress are on a slow and steady drumbeat toward our demise. They are not stopping nor will they stop.
It is up to us to STOP them.

The progressive left has been trying to remanufacture our society for decades. Now, the radical left has total control of our government, and they are taking thier agenda full speed ahead. The Socialist takeover begain with Social Security and Medicare/Medicaid. Now, these programs are insolvent and are robbing working Americans every pay period. There is an old saying- Democrats want control, and liberals want to control everything! How true in 2009.
To save these failing programs, the government knows it must take over healthcare to “contain costs” to keep these programs afloat. This takeover must be stopped at all costs.
A reminder to the government: We’re a nation of individuals blessed with individual liberty, and we’re not going to be subjected to your Statist, Collectivist, Consequentialist tyranny any longer.
