One of the first emails I read this morning was also one of the most devastating emails I’ve read all year. The email came in from RedState.com, and explained a situation brewing in the Senate over Healthcare.
Essentially, from what I read, Harry Reid and his band of Senate thugs have written into their Healthcare legislation a section that could not be a more blatant violation of their oath to uphold and protect the Constitution.
If ever the people of the United States rise up and fight over passage of Obamacare, Harry Reid must be remembered as the man who sacrificed the dignity of his office for a few pieces of silver. The rules of fair play that have kept the basic integrity of the Republic alive have died with Harry Reid. Reid has slipped in a provision into the health care legislation prohibiting future Congresses from changing any regulations imposed on Americans by the Independent Medicare [note: originally referred to as "medical"] Advisory Boards, which are commonly called the “Death Panels.”
It was Reid leading the Democrats who ignored 200 years of Senate precedents to rule that Senator Sanders could withdraw his amendment while it was being read.
It was Reid leading the Democrats who has determined again and again over the past few days that hundreds of years of accumulated Senate parliamentary rulings have no bearing on the health care vote.
On December 21, 2009, however, Harry Reid sold out the Republic in toto.
Upon examination of Senator Harry Reid’s amendment to the health care legislation, Senators discovered section 3403. That section changes the rules of the United States Senate.
To change the rules of the United States Senate, there must be sixty-seven votes.
Section 3403 of Senator Harry Reid’s amendment requires that “it shall not be in order in the Senate or the House of Representatives to consider any bill, resolution, amendment, or conference report that would repeal or otherwise change this subsection.”
Are you getting the full effect here? Do you understand the implications of this maneuver?
These thugs are not just working to pass legislation that Americans don’t want, they’re actively seeking to include unconstitutional language that would essentially bar future lawmakers from being able to change it!
At this point… I don’t think it could be more clear.
Our government has violated its oath to uphold the Constitution. In essence, this government is now rogue and operating outside of the constraints of the laws that govern our land.
This is dangerous. And it comes at a time when we as a people are hurting… which makes it all the more evil and malicious.
I hate to have to send you this just days before Christmas, but I believe we as a nation are in trouble. And I think it’s our duty to respond.

Mary Landrieu, of Louisiana, Ben Nelson, of Nebraska, and Bernie Sanders, of Vermont, (plus even more millions for a senator whose identity cannot be determined thanks to the obtuse language of the bill). By hook or by crook, Obamacare’s Senate backers got their magic 60 votes. Now Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, of Nevada, his 57 Democratic colleagues; and both Senate independents own Obamacare. Their votes moved Obamacare past its biggest legislative hurdle yet in a tally taken in the dead of a very cold Sunday night on a massive bill none of them actually read in its entirety.
These 60 senators have joined in what surely ranks among the most breathtakingly arrogant spasms of anti-democratic hubris in American legislative history. By every credible measure of public opinion, opposition to Obamacare has grown for months as people learned more about it. Fully 61 percent of those responding to CNN’s most recent survey turned thumbs down on Obamacare. And still these 60 senators opted to thumb their noses at the majority.
My letter faxed to Nelson yesterday.
Senator Nelson,
You are a traitor to the Constitution of the United States of America. What you have just done by selling your soul to the devil is the same as a whore selling her body to buy a new car. You have no integrity left sir. You have rolled over for the Chicago thugs and one handedly decided to Obligate the state of Nebraska to years of servitude to the gigantic and still growing government. Obama surrounds himself with Chicago Thugs, he appoints Chicago Thugs as “Czar” a title used by Marx and Stain, and you spineless wimps in the Senate do nothing about it. I too am at wits end and feel a need to HURT somebody! Of course, that is probably not the answer but, we MUST do something! I will not stand idly by and let these NUMB NUTS destroy my country. As a veteran of this great country, I took an oath to protect the Constitution of the United States of America against foreign and “domestic” enemies. There is going to come a time, maybe sooner than we think or want, that WE (Patriots)will be forced to make a choice. A choice of Good or Evil, right or wrong, just or unjust, life or death. What are the 40 Republican Senators doing about this? This is an outrage but since one Congress can’t bind another what effect does Harry Reids amendment really have?
It appears that he’s not trying to change the rule requiering 67 votes. He obviously knows that wouldn’t pass So
he’s trying to bypass the rule. That doesn’t change the rule, it’s a slight of hand that now that it’s discovered and I hope called out should be obvious to all that’s in violation of their own rules and needs to be withdrawn.
If Harry Reid can just make up rules as he goes along and nothing can be done about it than I am afraid all is lost. If this is the case, it is the beginning of anarchy!!!! When the rules and laws no longer matter look out, the end of our experiment with liberty and freedom is near.
Remember one thing; if you want to remove those who do not serve us, you’d better be prepared to provide someone who CAN. The only thing that results from simply “booting the bastards out” is chaos unless we can keep the positions running the way they SHOULD be run, otherwise the vacuum it creates will NOT help one bit. I counld not agree more, our government is under attack by the people we voted in. We need to vote the tradors out in 2010 and 2012. The latest unconstitutional act is the theft of our tax dollars for pork to buy votes on the health bill that should be burned. If we did this it is called BRIBERY. We do need health reform but not with this bill. The government has us in a bankrupt state and continues to put us deeper in debt. Dear Senator Nelson:
I am writing to you to strongly express my dissatisfaction with your failure to act appropriately on behalf of the citizens of The United States of America.
The majority of the people are strongly against the current healthcare legislation. I am one of the majority that does not want healthcare under control of the Federal Government.
I do see an appropriate role for the government in correcting healthcare issues in a limited capacity. However, the course the Democratic Party has taken is down right despicable. I am truly disappointed in your participation in the Chicago style politics brought to our great nation by President Obama.
The actions of all Democratic Senators in this issue are outright wrong in so many ways. You and the other senators are a disgrace to our great nation. I am particularly offended by the special considerations given to certain senators to secure their vote. I would remind you that this nation is made up of 50 states. I understand your loyalty to your own state, but your efforts are way over the line!
It is time for you and your peers to come to your senses and return to the roots of this great Republic. It is time to honor your commitment to our constitution and all the laws and rules that govern the senate.
You are clearly participating in this and other efforts that will drive our great nation to ruin. Your vote to spend this country into oblivion is unacceptable!
You should understand my personal commitment to oppose this and all legislation that damages our ability to survive. I believe in God, Country, and family in that order. I now find my country under attack from within. Worst yet, the attacks are being carried out by U.S. citizens!

If Harry Reid is trying to pass something that is unconstitutional, then how can it pass? And if they think that they can change the laws, then the next administration can change it back because it was unconstitutional in the first place. Besides that, they are all loosing their jobs come next election.
I agree it is time to boot these boobs out of office. Term limits are required to do the right thing. Vote them out, and pass a resolution to limit terms so these old fools in their second childhood with visions of grandeur are kicked out. Further, one thing that should be in any health care bill should be a limit on judgements against doctors to control the lawyers and their multi-million dollar lawsuits from which they reap a large reward.

I think for 2010 we need to consider 2 things. 1.Do we pursue legal action against our leaders and the laws they have past as well as the open bribery used to pass them. 2.We ask all senators and congressman that run in 2010 to sign a legal agreement to repeal everything from this year including TARP and smaller government, capitalism, and freedom from pursueing world government.
In less than a year all these things have happened. If the states secede the union we are rid of a whole lot of salaries that have actually turned out to be far more expensive than the $¢s in their paychecks. They would also have no further hold on us.
We have every right to withhold income tax as Timothy Geitner is nothing but a tax cheat. How can he honestly require us to pay taxes when he cheats on his?
Non compliance with recent congressional legislation also seems reasonable. They don’t have to comply with the Constitution of the United States and we don’t have to comply with anything they legislate. I don’t care what kind of language they put in their legislation, we don’t have to comply with it.
We desparately need to impeach Obama now. Look at the damage he’s done in less than a year. We can’t wait for him to declare himself King or for the birth certificate thing to happen. He is in treason and we need to impeach him.
We also must act now to get rid of those congressmen that couldn’t care less about us. We can’t wait for their terms to expire.

From liberty to abundance and abundance to complacency
It was individual freedom and liberty that gave every American the right and the motivation to create the most productive, prosperous and abundant nation ever known to man. And it is the earned abundance that would lead the wealthiest nation on earth into a state of complacency.
America is not only the most productive and abundant nation on earth. It is also the most generous nation on earth. For more than two centuries, Americans have not only been willing to share their wealth with many less fortunate societies around the globe, but also our technologies, the very philosophies that made us abundant, and even our blood, so that other peoples all over the world could share in freedom, independence and prosperity.
Extended periods of peace and prosperity have resulted in American complacency and today, generations who no longer understand the foundations of our abundance, what it took to achieve it and what it takes to conserve or preserve it for future generations, are on the verge of losing it all.
From abundance to complacency and complacency to apathy
Apathy, “an absence or suppression of passion, emotion, or excitement; - lack of interest in or concern for things that others find moving or exciting.”
American abundance and complacency led to apathy years ago, when half of all American voters stopped taking the time to engage in self-governance at all, not even finding so much as an hour of their time once every four years to go to a voting booth and play a part in deciding the direction of their free nation.
The other half of America who does still engage and vote, are caught up in an insane debate over Democrat vs. Republican, Liberal vs. Conservative, Black vs. White and Poor vs. Rich. The real issue goes largely unnoticed.
While the political discussion is misdirected and limited to a laundry list of special interest issues, the real debate over Individual Rights vs. Communal Rights is silenced as “hate speech” or “greed” in the name of “political correctness.”
And as half of the nation is complacent in their mindless debate, the other half completely apathetic to the entire process, America votes itself into Democratic Socialism and from apathy into dependence.
From apathy to dependence
A short one hundred years ago, when our nation was building the infrastructure of the greatest nation on earth, our federal government and its budget was but a mere insignificant fraction of our gross productivity and nobody was dependent upon the federal government for their personal well-being. Every man, woman and child, was free to define and pursue (earn) their own destiny and no American looked to the federal government as their personal nanny.
One hundred years later, a complacent people turned apathetic towards self-governance has forgotten to remain forever vigilant in its conservation and preservation of the fundamental belief structure that made it all possible.
Today, an increasing number of Americans are now dependent upon the federal government and the federal trough for their happiness. Every national election is about what our federal government can do for us personally, not what we are able to do for ourselves as a result of individual freedom and liberty in the land of equal promise.
Increasingly ill-suited to navigate the individual choices inherent with freedom, a growing number of Americans have come to rely (depend) upon politicians and their government to solve personal challenges they no longer feel capable of solving themselves.
Socialized medicine is being sold as “universal health care.” Government control of the people’s private natural resources is being sold as “environmentalism.” The government confiscation of private earned assets, land, money and individual rights, tyranny for benefit of a greater common good, are being sold as a forced form of “communal generosity” and “community obligation.” The constant attack on “Capitalism” is sold as reigning in “evil corporations.”
This is what Hillary Clinton means when she says, “It takes a village to raise a child.” Or “We are going to take some things away from you, for the greater good.” It is what all modern liberals mean in their quest to replace individual freedom and liberty with government controlled equality.
Of course, it’s also what Karl Marx meant when he said “From each according to his ability; To each according to his need.”
From dependence back into bondage

We accept this as a “graduated tax scale” whereby the “haves” are responsible for paying the tax burden of the “have-nots.” It is nothing more than an acceptable level and method of socialism, social engineering and forceful taking of earned assets from one, for benefit of another deemed more deserving. A re-distribution of wealth; - a taking from one according to his ability; given to another on the basis of his need.
Nullify the law as the states have a right to do or refuse to obey the law. I will stand arm and arm around Virginia’s capitol building if the federal government tries to arrest our lawmakers.If enough states do it the government will not have much choice, you can’t arrest a good part of the population especially when it is pointed out Reid was doing unconstitutional moves
The final vote hasn’t been taken. If you are truly appalled about the corrupt sellout by Senators Landrieu, Sanders and Nelson, call and email every hour for the next few days. Swamp the telephone and email files. Ask your neighbors and friends to do the same. Let those senators know that we won’t tolerate being sold out for pork.

I agree with the person that said: Don’t file your taxes this year! The Obama Thuggs need money to function, without it, they are dead in the water. We can’t fight the government with guns, they are to powerful,they will order the military to fire on us, but we can do stuff like boycotting this tax year, get on facebook,yahoo, google, contact all of the patriots, your friends, parents, grandparents and lets join together and shut down the flow of money, this will send a very strong message and need not fire one shot. 2. We have hundreds of thousands of supporters nation wide. THAT is a VERY VERY big pool of pople. Create an official non profit association in which members can buy the Tea Parties Health care coverage!!
Let us take control by doing things to effect BUSINESSES once businesses are effected, everything else will follow, including Politics!

How can I find a copy of section 3403 of Reid’s amendment?
I do not understand how Senate Rules are a Constitutional issue. I do believe, however that they may have some force in a court of law if a lawsuit were brought by some Senators, which if nothing else, would publicize this intolerable situation and more importantly delay, by injunction, the final Senate vote, thus allowing further scrutiny of the bill and forcing Senators to make the final vote in 2010, an election year. Reid and Obama are desperate to get something on the books in 2009 which can, like all legislation, then be further manipulated and expanded down the road. We need to get our Senators on some such tactic now!
Folks, this is my first post here.
What we are seeing is the gutting of America.
The tyrants are robbing us and our country blind. They dont care what we think, and they are hell-bent on the destruction of the constitution. This is the beginning of the second American Civil war. The people we elected to do our bidding have turned traitor and have little regard to what we think feel or do. They need a wake up call.
If only 3% of the population marches on Washington DC, we could shut down the city. We have an obligation to our country, our children and our founding fathers to do just that. These people feel that they are above the law and do not have to answer to anyone except the “party”. I say bullshit. They work for us. They need a reminder of this fact.
