Another letter to the employees…
To all our employees,
As the CEO of this company which employs over 100 people, I have accepted the fact that Barack Obama is our new President, and that our taxes and government fees will now increase in a BIG way.
To compensate for this additional overhead, I figure that the clients will have to see an increase in our fees of about 8% but, since we cannot raise those prices right now due to the dismal state of our economy, we will have to lay off several of our employees instead. This unfortunate economic reality has really been eating at me for a while, as we believe we are family here and I couldn’t figure out how to choose who will have to go.
After giving it considerable thought, this is what I did: I strolled through our
parking lot and found 11 Obama bumper stickers on our employees’ cars, and have decided these folks will be the first to be laid off. I can’t think of a more fair way to approach this problem. They wanted change; I gave it to them.
If you have a better idea, let me know. Have a nice day.
Sincerely,
Your humble CEO

$25 to attend the Atlanta Tea Party???
If you were watching Fox News Strategy Room this morning, you may have been met with quite a surprise when someone quoted an email that had been sent in complaining that the Atlanta Tax Day Tea Party was charging $25 to attend.
Twitter began buzzing about this almost immediately, and the phone started ringing shortly there after. Sherri Reese, our Georgia State Coordinator, called me to confirm this wasn’t the case, and also informed me that the communications director for the Georgia DontGo Movement Coalition was in contact with someone at fox News and a conclusion has been reached.
Apparently, someone went to the Atlanta Tax Day Tea Party website and noticed that the Georgia Chapter of Americans for Prosperity was listed as a co-sponsor for the local tea party. This individual then called the local AFP chapter to ask about “the event”.
Because AFP was planning a pre-existing event that had nothing to do with the Tea Party events, the staffer at AFP began explaining the details of the AFP event, not knowing that he/she was asking about the TEA PARTY event.
The AFP “Day at the Capitol” has a $25 per person charge (this includes a tour and a few other goodies), and this is what set the person off. He/she then started emailing media outlets, asserting that the Tax Day Tea Party organizers were charging $25 to attend.
So let’s make this clear (and it would help if those speaking on Fox News actually bothered to email someone before making such statements on the air), there is absolutely NO CHARGE for the Atlanta Tax Day Tea Party. The $25 “charge” referenced on the air at Fox was for a completely different and unrelated event.
Nuff said.

How to make a protest sign…
Taught by those with the most experience… union members!
Indeed, while unions were busy forcing private businesses to pay wages and benefits they couldn’t afford, they were also creating a great “guide” for modern day Tea Party tax revolts to use. Specifically, in this case, how to make a wind proof protest sign.
Looking for 50 State Coordinators…
As of the time of writing this post, we have 49 Tea Party Revolts being tracked across this site, and we’re adding about another 20 or so in the next few days.
The effort required in organizing a 50 state network of events such as this can be quite a challenge, and proper communication is key.
With this in mind, we’re going to start looking for a “coordinator” for each state who can be the bridge between the local organizers and us here at TaxDayTeaParty.com.
If you can volunteer some of your time, don’t mind dealing with a sizable amount of email, can help coordinate conference calls, and can work to ensure that organizers are able to get event and contact details to us here at the national level, we want to hear from you!
E-mail us at info@taxdayteaparty.com and let’s get you plugged in!

Portsmouth Tea Company Donates Tea to the Revolution!
The modern (2009) Tea Party Revolution was set in motion when Rick Santelli went on a delicious rant about how those “carrying the water” are supporting those who only drink it. Also known as… Socialism.
The point made was that Government, in it’s current form and the expanded form that potentially lies ahead, is waging all out war against the free-market system. This is causing much heartache to American businesses, both small and large.
Now more than ever, we believe it’s extremely important that business owners step up to the plate and make their voices heard. Which is exactly what the Portsmouth Tea Company is doing in light of the current Read more »
