This is quickly becoming a different country than the one I fought for, sweated in, and bleed for while serving in 4 seperate combat zones. I will be there, along with my 12 year old son who I will take out of school and make the 2 hour drive to Carson City. I challenge everyone to make the committment.

Is there going to be any major Tea Partys in Washington!
I think if it is possible to get some large crates of tea and break them open on the steps of the capital and make a real impact.
I am going to see if Shawn Hannity will expose this movement more. We need a national movement and one that will show Obama, Congress and the Senate. WE need to show the California legislatures and the liberals that run California in Sacramento.
We consevatives voted in 2008′and it basically did not matter in California since our votes were given away before the polls were even closed in California.
America needs to march on Washington like we did during the Vietnam War for peace.
WE need to tell our government this time if they do not make the changes we are demanding we will unseat all of those that do not take drection and the “DEMANDS” from the public. Not their own agendas like Louis Capps, Feinstein, Boxer and yes even the queen Palosi!
My family and all of our friends we can drag along will be with us in Louisville. Don’t forget your tea. No one can complain if we don’t vote or if we don’t stand up for what is right in our country. It is what makes us real Amereicans. See you all.

Regardless of who started it and we all who have kept quiet for too long had a part in starting it. Now is the time or past time for us to let Washington and the bunch of Hypocrites we have in office that we are mad as hell and are not taking it any more !!!!

What is the deal with the Miami Tea Party? We have so many places to get this done and have really great sponsorship opportunities available. Miami needs to have a bigtime Tea Party.

We will be in Lansing with bells on. It is time to remove the socialists from our government and return to the constitutional republic that our forefathers created. No more deficit spending, no more porky social programs, no more private jets for house speakers and no more bailing out irresponsible Democrat contributors with taxpayer money (Wall street contributed $325 mil to the Democrats and $25 mil to Republicans in 2008) and who is getting all the bailout money these days? And the Senators from Michigan both have to go.

Why can’t there be a separate event in Northern Virginia. Based on what I saw of the McCain/Palin Rally last year, the area will support. It was inspiring. How do we do it?
I for one am fed up with both parties. The last stimulus could have been stopped but three crossovers passed it.
They just go behind closed doors and pick three sacrificial lambs to pass whatever will help them and go for it.
To watch Chris Dodd, Barney Frank, Nancy Pelosi, Snow, Spechter etc. makes me want to vomit as they are such liars and have no shame.
Obama is for change? He is flying all over the country and now will do the Leno Show tomorrow at our expense makes me sick. He parties 3 nights a week in the White House while a lot of Americans are starving and homeless. Just another Illinois Political Thug gone to Washington. I can only hope they are peeling off the layers of corruption and we (Illinois) will one day be clean of the Daleys, Blagos, Ryans, etc.
This is just like AARP for seniors. Most people are not aware of the fact that they get billions from the Federal Govt. each year to back the Democratic Party. Wake up and take our country back. We are one of the most well positioned groups in America and do not have to take from our children and grandchildren to live out our senior years. It is not necessary for us to live a life of luxury and this is what AARP preaches.
We do not want Socialism, we want freedom.

I attended the tea party in OKC on 2-27. We need to get and/or solicit more mainstream coverage. This action needs to be more visible. I will be there on OKC on 4-15 and 7-4!!!!
Fellow citizens, the time has come to put down the party labels of Republican, Democrat, or Libertarian. There is no political party that accurately represents our conservative ways. We must end the bitter infighting between parties to enact a solution. I will attend the Longview rally, not as a Republican, Democrat, or Libertarian, but as a citizen of the United States of America. Not as a Bush lover or hater, not as an Obama fanatic or Obama detractor, not as a Christian, Muslim, Atheist or Jew, but as a man. I see the path this nation is taking, and I fear that the end of this great nation may well be drawing near. A nation that once prided itself on self sufficiency and freedom, has become a bastion of co-dependence and oppressive legislation. We have traded our pride, and our drive for success for worthless attributes like equality and self righteousness. We may well be too late for this great nation. The powers that be may well reject our protest out of hand. If our cause is lost, I will be the first to cry secede and fly the flag of the republic. But for the sake of our forefathers, who fought and died for our freedom and prosperity, and for the sake of our children who will yearn for the opportunity we have now, and though we may labor in vain, we must try, we must seek, we must wholeheartedly endeavor to preserve this great country as a whole. And if we struggle to no avail and exhaust all other options, only then should we raise the banner of independence. God bless the United States of America.
Jon, as you know we have the invoices to hand out. I love the “wearing of the tea bag” idea so let’s get the word out. I will post the same through the multiple C4L pages. Also, for the Rutland event, we should have props (tea boxes or cardboard boxes with words AIG Bailout, Corporate Welfare, Pork Barrel Spending, etc. on them) for people to throw into a Trash Can or other large container. Wear the Tea Bags all day and at the end of the protest, everybody takes them off and throw them into the bin as a protest against the bailouts etc.
As for location, if you haven’t chose one, might I suggest Gazebo Park at the corner of Main and West Street. Speakers can address the assembled from the Gazebo.
We are working on Rodney Square. I will update in a few days. I will need lots of help if we get the site.

Does anyone have any pull with the Martin County Republican Party?
I pulled a special event permit on their behalf for the City of Stuart because 30 days advance notice was required and I thought there was interest… but I think they will pass on the opportunity.
There is a splinter group that will demonstrate on the Roosevelt Bridge I believe, but I wanted a much larger event and even communicated with Tom Rooney to speak - and he did have some interest.
Three locations are reserved - two on the St. Lucie River which is a perfect location for a huge event and tossing the tax code, the porkulus bill, the omnibus spending bill and a bail of tea in the drink!
Need help getting them motivated……
I am also interested in a Marietta Tea Party. It would appear that this government is about to tax itself out of revenue sources. If they continue to tax businesses and investors out of the system, there won’t be anyone left to tax.
Did anyone hear that the TARP bill not only bailed out american banks but gave an estimated 20 billion to foreign banks?!!! It’s time to rise up folks.

I think that having the Lincoln tea party in front of Ben Nelson’s office is a great idea. Nelson also has an office in Omaha, perhaps the Omaha party should be at his office also. Please let us know well in advance, several co-workers and friends want to attend.
Anything planned in the Northern Ca. area yet. Above Sacramento. If you plan to send real tea bags to your representatives (?), don’t. Since the anthrax scare several years ago, all packages will be destroyed. Send a copy of a tea bag instead.
