One of the local organizers e-mailed me with a question this morning, and I don’t know the answer. If you do, could you either answer in the comments or e-mail me (at roxannekramer@gmail.com ) and I’ll forward it to the right person.
Question:
How do I adjust the Facebook page of our group so that a recent events/news/FAQ section appears in a stable area above the photo section, one that won’t get moved down by other comments as is currently going on in the wall section? We have a lot of information coming in regarding sign size, permission to have balloons, items needed, speakers, events like the food drive, and contact persons for voter registration or media relations. If there is no way to put all this information as it comes in in one stable position on Facebook, is there a place on the Fresh Tea page that can hold it, and some way to post a link to it from the Facebook page instead? I would like to get everything centralized to make it easier for people to come to the tea party.
I don’t know the answer to the question, but as the organizer for Ocala, I can say that I don’t find Facebook to be a good way to feed information to others. We’re going to do something different, like a blog or website for the next one if we do it. I have to constantly hide comments that people on other Facebook member’s sites post. They are usually either inappropriate or on a different subject, and there are always requests from others to join this thing or that thing that is unrelated to the tea parties. I don’t like Facebook at all, and will take our site down from it as soon as the 15th is over. Also, our Facebook site isn’t listed here; I have sent it 4 times and finally got the contact changed to the correct email address, but not our Facebook Group information. Not many people on our contact list even use Facebook, either.
I had a dream last night.
In my dream I began to ponder the root cause of the “economic rollercoaster” ride we’re on. This rollercoaster, I thought, come out of nowhere. It is rolling down the tracks faster than a snowball down a mountainside, wow! Did the “economic rollercoaster” appear so suddenly or did it leave the tracks long ago? Whom or what would gain the most if the worldwide financial and banking systems were derailed? What would be gained? Was this a manufactured cause, to intentionally create a crisis?
As my dream continued, I recalled how the “economic crisis” unfolded; with such brute force and sheer panic. The elected and appointed “chicken little’s” were all in a tizzy saying “if we do not act immediately the sky is going to fall”! “Bailouts, that’s the solution that will end this “crisis”. I was screaming (in my sleep of course) that bailouts would only add fuel to the fire! Propping up failed businesses was not the answer; let the free markets work, I said. My dream continued and I realized these “solutions” were not being offered to solve the “crisis” but to further destabilize the financial markets, bringing them down. In sheer terror I asked why?
Suddenly Barney Frank popped into my dream and said it’s political plain and simple, it’s all about power. He continued and said the lame duck Bush administration had blinked and left the door wide open for the future Obama administration and Congress to only so gladly continue the same bailout methods and so much more. He said the “economic crisis” is not misunderstood. The “solutions” being proposed and soon to be implemented were not to stem the tide or fix anything. Smirking he said, the “solutions” being offered are going to intentionally worsen the problem, increase panic and drive the citizenry toward a complete and total dependence on the government. He stated he was quite proud of the generational corruption within Congress (save a few) and mentioned they had been bought and paid for by the financial and banking industry long ago. Fiendishly he said “the chickens have come home to roost” and this intentional “financial crisis” had been allowed to unfurl into the global markets to create a global “financial crisis”.
I wanted to wake up but could not so the dream continued. It was then Barney commented that the remedial “band aids” they were putting into place would look good but were not supposed to fix anything. Once the Obama administration was in place there would be more TARP’s, a multitude of faux stimulus plans, additional auto and banking bailouts, he even mentioned the Fed would inject $1+ trillion into the markets; I shuddered with horror.
He let me in on the future Omnibus budget and all the “progressive” initiatives that would be buried within this bill. He proudly shared that he and his colleagues planned to insert over 9,000+ earmarks in the Omnibus and gleefully said that was only the beginning. He laughingly reiterated “it’s all about power over the little people of the world.”
By this time I realized my dream had turned into a nightmare and I so desperately wanted to wake but could not. He continued sharing the dastardly plans they had in mind. The ultimate plan was to consolidate financial power and all global resources into a two-tier global society thus America (the last bastion of true capitalism and sovereignty) would finally fall.
I rebuked him and told him their time had not yet come despite the future plans and the unfurling “financial crisis”. I told him there was still time to reverse the course of our nation and it was then I could hold back no more and told him about our plans, Tea Parties. I said the Tea Parties would gain momentum and awaken people from their slumber. People would begin to realize their rights were being usurped by the “unrepresenting” representatives we’d sent to Washington to serve our interests, not their special interests. At the mention of Tea Parties he shrieked. He then began stuttering and then mumbled incoherently and it was then I realized he was crying like a baby. I couldn’t believe my eyes.
I told him the Tea Party citizenry’s plan would be to overhaul the electorate. It was because he and his colleagues were completely unresponsive to the will of the people they had vowed to serve. I chastised him for failing to uphold our Constitution and promote public policy that upholds limited government, free markets and individual liberty.
It was then I woke up. Whew, never want to have that nightmare again.
