I Don’t Know What Is Happening To Our Country and It Seems To Have Happened So Quick, I Love My Country And Long For Three Or Four Months Ago When Everyone I Know Was So Hopeful That We Would Always Be The Greatest Nation In The World. I, too would like to see something started in Fort Wayne or Elkhart / Goshen. I am from Warsaw, IN and would attend. My husband and I want to know if anyone else knows how to start impeachment of our U.S. senators who are so clearly considering themselves above the law and beyond the rech of the people who they are supposed to represent. Anyone have any ideas?

I don’t think it’s that Obama is inexperienced or or he’s in over his head and just doesn’t know how to handle the situation as some have reported. He knows exactly what he’s doing. He was surrounded all his life by anti-American people. All through his campaign Fox News and others showed his connection from childhood to present. He had an agenda and now he is fulfilling it. I’m just afraid if something isn’t done soon, he will sign our rights away to the one world politics and then there will be no turning back. It is worse then just the taxes…. We better stand up fast.
I also think everyone should stop paying taxes. Just think of the panic when their paychecks don’t come in. Something has got to stop this socialist mess. But again there has to be a huge number of people to stand up and do this or we’ll loose our homes and property.

Tax middle class ($13 a week is a joke compared to what all of the stupid programs will cost us), revoke gun rights, cap and trade, universal health care, make the military pay for their own wounds, card check, fairness (suppress your 1st amendment) doctrine, Pelosi setting religious doctrine, promoting unthinkable judges, closing Guantanamo, letting terrorist go, can’t even call them enemy combatants or terrorists, prosecuting sheriffs that enforce the law, going on TV every 2 minutes corrupting the stupid, alienating long term allies (Britain, etc..), Americans are cowards when it comes to race (from the attorney General) wants to control the districting process (Huge), total amnesty for illegal’s, borrowing money from the Chinese to pay Acorn (a black racist group) and give 900 million to help rebuild crap in Gaza (we are borrowing money to give to terrorists) this is just off the top of my head.

We can also flyer/protest in those other locations, but the Herald is out of the way and Walmart is a private lot I think (problems with trespassing). As for a media blitz, we need to have everything finalized and our theme/agenda completed before dumping it on the public. WE are close, but still have some work to do first. Examples: will there be audience participation, focus of protest (you can’t protest everything or you are protest nothing), speakers, and logistics (do we bring the signs or do they?)
Tea Parties have a wonderful effect, that of getting to know our neighbors, as we build relationships that we may have to depend on. We are not covenant breakers as those who don’t pay their bills, but folks who honor our word and reputation. While keeping our eye on the goal of repealing pork and taxes, we use no unlawful means to acheive it…we don’t have to stoop to the illegal practices of dishonorable, but rely on integrity and truth. To God be the glory!

I empathize with those who are responsible conservatives who do not or “can’t” take time off of work to protest the single worst federal administration in US history. But I also do not recall reading about farmers, millers, or their neighbors pausing in protest of intolerable acts of the Crown in the 1760s and 1770s either. (Although the Boston Tea Partiers were a bunch of Boston drunks - I hope my point is valid).
The reason we are losing and the Left is winning is simple - they are committed we are involved. They are the pig in the bacon and eggs breakfast, and we are the chicken. Time to get fired up isn’t it?

I would say I agree with Keith that there need to be term limits, but that requires changing the consitution which is no small feat. You have the groundwork for the change by gathering like minded people together by state though. I believe it requires a certain number of signatures in each state to get the referendum on the ballot for people to vote on and then, if enough states pass it, the constitution gets changed and term limits are in, but I am not an expert on this at all. I only just have a general understanding of it.
I would also say, as many others here have noted, there are a number of different groups running tea parties and organization is key as we found in the last election. I am wondering how this group and all other groups come together in some manner so that the true numbers are there for these events instead of several smaller protests? Or is that a consideration?

We have a great example here in Illinois of “taxation without representation”. And that example is Roland Burris. We did not vote him into office and he has voted for every single increase in spending. And to top it off, he quasi-lied (you know, those half-lies that cant get you kicked outta office even though they should) about being involved with Blaggo.

The closest City to me is Redding. I was going to drive down to Sacramento, because there did not seem to be anyone else wanting to gather for Protest in Redding. The City Hall sounds like a good idea Steve, but do you guys think there’s going to be enough of us to make an impact? KRCR-TV would show up if they knew for sure there was going to be a Protest in Redding on April 15th. And maybe, KHSL-Chico/Redding too. There’s also AM1400 Radio. Let me know if you guys think there’s going to be a better IMPACT showing up in Sacramento at the Capitol Building Protest or showing up at Redding City Hall.

We now have what they elected and our leaders are doing exactly what we feared. If we allow them to destroy our country without a fight then we deserve what we get. How can anyone not pay attention to this! It is time for the silent majority to wake up and let their voices be heard. Our rights as a free nation have and are being taken away by the big business ruling powers in our goverment. Now is the time to attend one of these tea party meetings on April 15 to voice our opinions and stand up and be counted. in accord, gathered in one place at one time, will be heard much louder and be more visable than if these Tea Parties are held in small scatterings throughout the state. This should have been scheduled on a Weekend! I know the significance of April 15th but it counts out so many from across the state!
All these gatherings are a great and wonderful thing. HOWEVER, there needs to be less small gatherings and more LARGE gatherings. Its the only way it will be taken seriously. What gets more attention - 10 groups of a 100 + people or 1 group of over 1,000. I really believe that things are going to get ugly (violent) before anyone in DC takes “We the people” at our word. Isn’t that how the “Lib Rallies” get all the attention?

Tea Party in Des Moines? I’ll come. I’m fed up. Hopefully we’ll really begin to do more than just sit around listening to Glenn, Rush, and Sean ( not a bad thing to do) and talk amongst ourselves. This is a start. But I wonder what it will take to get these eggheads in DC to perhaps pull out their copy of the Constitution and REALLY consider how much of this current nonsense they and Obama are pushing down our throats is remotely constitutional? A good portion of federal legislation and even entire agencies have, for a long time already, violated the 10th amendment, which reserves rights not specifically given the federal government to the states or to the people. Hmmm. We, as a people, have allowed so much usurping of power by DC, that they are like teens with no limits given them! Oh, to be like the pioneers and to stand on each of our own two feet! We have forgotten freedom and the faces of our forefathers!
